I am glad this is on your mind. We find that more people are having kids and less are truly discussing the option to do so.
The easiest part is to sleep with someone and or anyone. Some men find it twice as easy to avoid any and all responsibility that comes with having sex, while the woman is left with a night of “passion” and of course a pregnancy test in her hand if symptoms occurred.
This is not to say a situation of this nature always takes place but let us use it as an example for this blog, humor me for a moment.
Are you a parent? Was it planned and worked out or was your pregnancy a surprise? For most, it was not planned and action was taken immediately! Once you knew that you were pregnant, perhaps you contacted the father of your baby and one of two things happened:
1. He was as excited and nervous; yet ready to support you 100%
or
2. He denied all responsibility and threw a few options of his own at you
Either way, ultimately you had to make a decision;. this child was carried within YOUR body and not his.
The greatest feeling is to have the support of your man, friends and family. Unfortunately not everyone has this support group, some are left to deal with pregnancy alone and it makes for a difficult road ahead at times.
